Alex Cochran

Alex Cochran was born in Austin, Texas, and grew up in Pasadena, California, a few miles from the Rose Bowl. Alex earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Mississippi. He was a Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors Scholar and graduated cum laude with degrees in History and Classics. Alex graduated from the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law where he was a member of the International Law Review Association and published The Wealth of a Nation: Mexico’s Efforts to Attract Foreign Investment in the Energy Sector, 50 INT’L Law. 613 (2017).
Alex’s legal practice focuses on mass torts/class actions/multi-district litigation, commercial litigation, catastrophic loss events, construction, insurance, environmental, real estate, products liability, and financial services for clients in the energy, manufacturing, heavy equipment, construction, real estate, banking, and insurance industries.
Alex served as lead counsel on a 2,000 plaintiff Texas state court MDL arising from a 2020 explosion in Houston, Texas.
