Brandi Nicole Cormier was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, and joined the New Orleans office as an associate in the litigation section in September 2020. Brandi is admitted to practice law before all Louisiana state courts, the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Louisiana, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

Education

Brandi attended St. Mary’s Dominican High School before receiving her B.S. from Louisiana State University in 2014. Brandi earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. During her time at Loyola, Brandi was a member of the Loyola Law Review, the Loyola Trial Advocacy Program, the Stuart H. Smith Law Clinic, the Phi Delta Phi International Legal Honor Society, and the St. Thomas More Inn of Court. Brandi served as President of Loyola’s Trial Advocacy Program and as a student-coach to the semi-finalist placing Costello National Trial Advocacy Team. In addition, Brandi was a Student Ambassador, a research assistant to Associate Dean Mary Garvey Algero, a student-teacher of Legal Studies at Warren Easton Charter High School, and Social Chair of the Student Bar Association.

While in law school, Brandi interned for the Honorable Jay C. Zainey of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana and the Honorable June Berry Darensburg of the Twenty Fourth Judicial District Court.

 

Personal
Brandi is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the New Orleans Bar Association, the Bar Association of the Fifth Federal Circuit, the American Bar Association, and the St. Thomas Moore Inn of Court. In her free time, Brandi enjoys being outdoors, coaching her son’s little league teams, and cheering on the LSU Tigers and the New Orleans Saints.
