Gieger, Laborde & Laperouse, L.L.C. Represents Dynamic Offshore Resources, LLC in $235 Million Dollar Acquisition                     
July 2008 - The Energy Section of Gieger, Laborde and Laperouse represented Dynamic Offshore Resources, LLC in its acquisition of 100 percent of the stock of Northstar Exploration and Production, Inc. and its wholly owned operating subsidiary Northstar GOM, LLC for $235 million, effective January 1, 2008.  The acquired companies have current net production of over 40 million cubic feet equivalent per day (55% gas) and leasehold interests in 89 offshore blocks located in the Gulf of Mexico covering approximately 64,000 net acres.

May 22, 2007 - Rob Siegel and Brendan Doherty won a victory on behalf of Audubon Indemnity Company reversing the issue of coverage regarding a vessel that was moored on the Mississippi River. In oral argument before the Supreme Court of Louisiana, Rob Siegel successfully argued that the watercraft exclusion of Audubon’s policy applied as the vessel was "afloat on the river" and not the "ashore on the premises" exception to the exclusion.
